What makes us unique? Southern Scratch Bakery is very unique in that we are a completely Gluten-Free Bakery, specializing in homemade from scratch, old-fashioned southern desserts. We use only the highest quality organic, non-gmo and/or all natural ingredients including ancient grains, pastured eggs, grassfed milk, etc. We also love making “mini” or individual sized desserts such as Caramel Cream Cheese Poundcake Mini Bundts, Mini/Hand pies, etc.
What do you love most about your company? Southern Scratch Bakery was born out of a passionate love for baking southern, made from scratch desserts just like my Grandmother. My Grandmother left an incredible legacy of southern baking of over 75 years which she was infamously known for. Nothing was more heartwarming than for family, friends and acquaintances from all over to enter her home and savor some of her gloriously made desserts. Becoming gluten-free was one of the most difficult transitions of my life. I became sick and had no choice but to walk away from my heritage of southern comfort food. After years of trial and error, I finally found the right combination of perfect ingredients that would allow me to replicate my Grandmother's prized desserts with the same incredible texture and superb flavor that her original recipes encompass. I have been blessed with the opportunity to completely transform how people see, taste and experience gluten-free living!
Tells us a little about your process: All baked goods are completely made from scratch, most being from my Grandmother's original recipes.
